Byron Comati – Vice President, Principal Transportation Planner, Valley Forge, PA

A 36-year transit industry veteran, Comati will lead our transit planning services. He previously served as the manager of engineering and capital planning for the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, director of strategic and long-range planning for the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority, and, most recently, vice president of corporate planning for Amtrak. Comati brings extensive expertise in systems and long-range planning, major capital infrastructure and fleet replacement programs, economic analysis, and policy formulation, as well as discretionary federal grant program applications. This has included managing capital programs in excess of $1 billion. Combined with planning and operations simulation technology, Comati will help clients develop how successful transit and rail systems will work for the decades to come.

Aaron Greeniaus – Vice President, Signals Discipline Leader, Toronto, Ontario
Greeniaus will lead Gannett Fleming’s Signals Department, bringing more than 20 years of experience in train control and systems design and delivery. He most recently served as director of signals and communications with Metrolinx (Toronto, Ontario), where he oversaw signal projects, signals maintenance, and communications. This included major signaling capital projects and modernization. Greeniaus has worked with transit authorities across North America, including the Toronto Transit Commission and New York City Transit Authority, as well as train control systems suppliers. Greeniaus’ forward-thinking experience includes communications-based train control solutions and interlockings, positive train control, and automatic train su

pervision systems. Understanding the importance of maintaining safe operations that keep people and vehicles moving, Greeniaus will help clients create the next evolution of train control solutions.
